Welcome to Americano (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

The Service helps players and organizers run and join padel-style tournaments, record match results, view standings and rankings, and manage player profiles.

Information we collect

Account and authentication — We collect information you provide when you register or sign in, such as your email address, and authentication data processed by our providers (for example, hashed passwords or OAuth identifiers if you use Google or other social sign-in).

Profile information — We may collect your name, phone number, city or region, skill level, WhatsApp or similar contact fields you choose to provide, and related profile data.

Tournament and activity data — We collect data related to your participation in tournaments, including roles (such as player, manager, or organizer), match scores, standings, rankings, invitations, and related gameplay metadata.

Device and technical data — We may collect device type, operating system, app version, language, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the Service. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app as of the last updated date above.

Support communications — If you contact us at hello@umair.au, we process the content of your messages and your contact details to respond to you.

How we use your information

We use information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; authenticate users and secure accounts; run tournaments, scores, standings, and rankings; communicate with you about the Service (including support and important notices); detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

If applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service (balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and consent where required (for example, certain optional communications or cookies on web properties).

Sharing and subprocessors

We share information with service providers who assist us in hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, and similar functions. Our Service is built on cloud infrastructure (including Supabase); those providers process data on our instructions.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or us. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you submit an account deletion request through the app and sign out, we process deletion in line with our internal procedures; residual backups may persist for a limited period as required for security or law.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact hello@umair.au. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including Australia, the European Union, the United States, and other regions where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Third-party links and features

The Service may contain links or integrations (for example, opening external apps such as WhatsApp or websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, where permitted by law.
